A hospital built by a doctor, for the people of Sonipat

Memorial Hospital began with a single conviction: that Sonipat deserved experienced, specialist medical care close to home. In 1975, Dr. Ramesh Mehta - the first medical postgraduate to enter private practice in the city - opened a small clinic in the heart of Sonipat.

In 1979, that clinic became a hospital. It started with three consultation rooms - physician, surgery and gynaecology - a minor operation theatre and a clinical laboratory. A full indoor ward, X-ray room and operation theatre followed as the need grew.

Becoming a multi-specialty hospital

With the addition of Dr. Sameer Mehta, an ICU specialist trained at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Dr. Amandeep Kaur, a gynaecologist trained at BPS Medical College, the hospital grew into a multi-specialty unit. Today, Memorial Hospital brings together nine experienced doctors across around nine specialties.

What NABH accreditation means for you

Memorial Hospital is NABH-accredited. NABH - the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers - sets national standards for patient safety and quality of care. Accreditation means the hospital is independently assessed against those standards, so patients can have confidence in the care they receive.
